The thing about cut-out garments is that they can be provocative depending on where these holes are placed, or they can just be straight up cool. Peek-a-boos are the equivalent of sheers, sex appeal-wise, in my opinion. That means that the trend can go a few separate ways, which seems to be a recurring theme here. FASHION IS ALL ABOUT CHOICE, PEOPLE. You gotta "make it work" for you (credz to Tim Gunn for the quote).
A variety of designers have joined the cut-out craze, so take a sneak peak(-a-boo) at how they rocked it on the runway.

Be a sexy chick:
Alexander McQueen D&G
Haider Ackermann Vera Wang
Tommy Hilfiger Versace
Vera Wang Dolce & Gabbana
Be a kool kat:
Carven Alexander McQueen
Lanvin Rebecca Minkoff
Carven Fendi
Carven Jen Kao
See how many possibilities there are here? I'm thinking of DIY-ing a few old things, perhaps, to replicate some of that Carven goodness that you witnessed up above. Mmm.
Just a few quick updates:
Yesterday my mom and I had a bit of girls' night out (GNO, if you will). This entailed eating frozen yogurt (Red Mango, my faves) getting manicures, and then heading to Macy's for the Veteran's Day sale. I now have bordeaux-colored fingernails, 3 new pairs of tights (one of which is wine-colored as well, one of which is ribbed and white and one of which is black with a cool squiggle design) and an owl ring to match my Italian owl necklace (which I wore here). The only thing left to get are some new jeans, which I will buy today at Buffalo Exchange, hopefully. That place is totally rad. Thanks to my friend Ben for introducing it to me. (They had a pair of Doc Martens for $28 there earlier this week--it doesn't get any better than that.)
There are some nice sales this weekend, buy new goodies while they're cheap!
