The modern version is similar to the pant and skirt suits worn in the past, but way cooler because they're always in prints. Always. I can show you in a minute. I always do, don't I?
A lot of people are afraid of prints. I don't really know why, they don't bite. If you spend the time to get to know them, they're actually quite nice. The number seven is the one to watch out for (I heard a rumor that seven ate nine?! Now that's scary.). You better mentally prepare yourself this winter, because next spring, prints are gonna be all over the place, and in large quantities too.
The tricky thing about wearing prints is that mixing them is difficult, but if you do it right, it's magical. Now, you don't really have to worry about mixing them when it's the same pattern. Easy peasy lemon squeezy stuff here.
I bet you're really excited to see all the pictures, right? I am. Let's do this.

Full on suits:
DKNY House of Holland
Jil Sander Paul & Joe
Peter Som Prabal Gurung
Sass & Bide Stella McCartney
Cute lil' ensembles:
Derek Lam DKNY
Diane von Furstenberg J.Crew
Proenza Schouler Stella McCartney
Ain't it great? It may be a bit harder to find suits like these for a reasonable price, but I'm sure they exist. Maybe I'll do a "look for less" sort of thing once the stores start selling their spring merchandise. Thoughts?
Enjoy the final hours of the long weekend--I'm about to spend them reading Jane Eyre. What good fun!
