Seeing as it is Christmas Eve, I shall acknowledge it, but I feel that we have more pressing matters to address at the moment: the resurgence of the color orange.
I hope that you have not forgotten the
Many of you are probably internally frowning, and I know why. Orange is not only one of the words in the English language that is stubborn enough to not rhyme with any other word, but also tends to be unflattering on many people. Or so you may think. You'll see in a moment how versatile the color really is, so stick around and view the evidence for yourself.

Did you notice how many models of different skin tones rocked orange on the runway! You can too! It's all about finding the right hue. I'll give you some tips on selecting garments in the correct shade. If you have fair skin, brighter oranges look best (see Dolce & Gabbana, Michael Kors, Peter Som, Sonia Rykiel, Sass & Bide and Bottega Veneta). If you have yellow-ish skin, I suggest wearing an orange with more of a yellow undertone than a red undertone (see Diane von Furstenberg, Phillip Lim, Sonia Rykiel and Marc by Marc Jacobs). If you have dark skin, you can probably pull off most shades of orange, but the more the vibrant they are, the more flattering (see Christian Siriano and Nanette Lepore).
As of yesterday, I am officially on winter break. You'd think this would mean that I have lots of time to do things I want, but alas, this is false. My teachers have assigned us homework and projects galore--how fun. But I will try and do as much blogging and designing and sewing as I can. After all, it's what I love and enjoy, so it's not like it's a chore or anything, like answering questions about Mongolian invasions in Russia is.
Have a merry Christmas Eve everyone! I'll be back on here tomorrow morning/afternoon, since we're not celebrating the holiday until the evening.
